The reason? The presiding judge heard a recording of Arrington bragging that she had "taken out a tree-hugger, a bicyclist, a Frenchman, and a gay guy, all in one shot." In her defense, the Pearl of Arizona made the comment - from a jail phone, no less - in response to a remark by a likewise inbred friend that she should be awarded "a fucking medal and a parade" for killing Paul L'Ecuyer.
